Hello i am new to honeyd, and have some problems running it.
First of all i run farpd like that:
farpd -i eth0 192.168.2.0/24
and then honeyd.
My configuration file is as simple as it gets:
create router
set router personality "Cisco 1601R router running IOS 12.1(5)"
set router default tcp action reset
set router default udp action reset
add router tcp port 23 "scripts/router-telnet.pl"
bind router 192.168.2.22
Thats all i have in honeyd.conf file.
When i try to do smthg like this:
telnet 192.168.2.22
or
ping 192.168.2.22
i get no response,it tells me host unreachable and staff like that..
Do i do something wrong?I have root privilages in my ubuntu.
Any ideas please??

Found the solution, apparently you cant ping from the honeyd host ..
Got another problem,
i am trying to telnet the virtual router :
telnet 192.168.2.22
but i get this message:
Trying 192.168.2.22...
Connected to 192.168.2.22.
Escape character is '^]'.
192.168.2.22: Connection reset by peer
Connection closed by foreign host.
can somebody help me with this?I can telnet the actual host but there is no response from the virtual router as you see..
Thanks
