I have good and bad news.
The bad news is that all versions of Honeyd prior to 1.5 are vulnerable to a remote identification attack; please see http://www.honeyd.org/adv.2006-01 for more information. If you have configured Honeyd to check for updates, you should automatically see a security warning and link to the advisory in the integrated web server.
The good news is that I just released a new version of Honeyd. Honeyd 1.5 can be downloaded from the release page. It contains nice new features and bug fixes. If there is anything that you want to see in future versions of Honeyd, please let me know.
Hope you have a good weekend,
Niels. |

I just posted a small bugfix release which is available from the release page. It fixes a typo in an assert that caused many crashes. It also contains a fix for getsockname() in subsystems.
If I should receive more bug fixes, I will try to quickly turn around new releases.
Sorry,
Niels. |

| Thank you for the bug fix. This vulnerability has pervaded the whole of Google, everyone could find it. |
